The White House is not a fan of the CBO score for the Republicans' healthcare bill, The Hill reported.
The Congressional Budget Office in its analysis released Monday said the Senate GOP healthcare bill would leave 22 million more Americans uninsured in 2026 than under former President Barack Obama's healthcare law.
"The CBO has consistently proven it cannot accurately predict how healthcare legislation will impact insurance coverage," the White House said in a statement.
"This history of inaccuracy, as demonstrated by its flawed report on coverage, premiums, and predicted deficit arising out of Obamacare, reminds us that its analysis must not be trusted blindly."
The 22 million additional without coverage is just a little better than the 23 million who would be left without insurance under the House healthcare legislation approved last month. President Donald Trump called that version "mean" and also urged Senate Republicans to approve legislation with more "heart."
Senate Republicans were hoping to push the plan through the chamber this week, but several party members still are not sold on the bill.
