The conservative Congressional Leadership Fund is placing robocalls today against Democrats in 15 congressional districts, tying them to Vice President Joe Biden's recent statement that the middle class has been "buried" for the last four years.
"We don't need a jobs report to know that these failed economic policies are hurting families' bottom lines. We've been buried in it," the script says, according to
Politico.
"A failed stimulus that created debt, but not the jobs it promised in the area. A healthcare law that will punish our families with new taxes & higher premiums. And yet another healthcare tax that could ship local jobs to China."
And what of the White House’s No. 2? "Vice President Biden said the middle class has been buried the last four years. He's right," the script says.
The 15 Democrats targeted include both incumbents and challengers. The incumbents are New York Reps. Tim Bishop, Bill Owens, Louise Slaughter, and Kathy Hochul; Iowa Rep. Leonard Boswell; North Carolina Rep. Mike McIntyre; and Ohio Rep. Betty Sutton.
The challengers are Shelley Adler of New Jersey, Pete Gallego of Texas, David Gill of Illinois, Christie Vilsack of Iowa, Gary McDowell of Michigan, Elizabeth Esty of Connecticut, and Steven Horsford and John Oceguera of Nevada.
Real Clear Politics rates 226 House races as running in Republicans’ favor, compared to 183 for Democrats and 26 toss-ups.
