The campaign manager for President Donald Trump's re-election bid in 2020 has come out swinging at Attorney General Jeff Sessions and special counsel Robert Mueller – saying the commander in chief should give the ax to both.
"Time to fire Sessions End the Mueller investigation," Brad Parscale wrote on Twitter. "You can't obstruct something that was phony against you The IG report gives @realDonaldTrump the truth to end it all."
In another tweet, Parscale said: "Russia investigation was a political witch hunt and tainted from the start It is now time for it all to end THIS WAS ALL A POLITICAL SCAM TO HURT."
When one Twitter commenter responded Sessions was the "first and only GOP Senator" to endorse Trump during the GOP primaries, and it would be "fair to assume that Trump wouldn't have won the primaries without Session's support," Parscale, who was digital media director for Trump’s 2016 campaign, quickly fired back.
Trump has been highly critical of Sessions for recusing himself in the Russia probe and of Mueller who is probing whether the Trump campaign had a role in Russia's tampering with the 2016 presidential race.
