Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol is scheduled to appear on Wednesday at the "Politics and Eggs" event in New Hampshire, which typically hosts prospective presidential candidates leading up to presidential primary seasons, The Hill reported on Monday.
The forum, which is organized by the New England Council and the New Hampshire Institute of Politics, also receives added attention because the state holds the nation's first primary.
President Donald Trump spoke at the event in January 2014, before he had declared his candidacy.
Kristol has been a frequent and vocal critic of Trump since he ran for president. Kristol recruited challengers to Trump during the 2016 campaign, and the conservative commentator has continued to criticize the president’s rhetoric and policies since he entered the White House.
In January, Kristol told CNBC: "The rationalization of Trump, acceptance of Trump by so many Republicans and some conservatives, including conservatives I worked with and respect, has been disturbing to me."
He even told The New Yorker: "I really could make a case that the country would be better off with the Democrats running the House, because, if the Republicans aren’t willing to check Trump, someone has to."
Another vocal Trump critic, Republican Sen. Jeff Flake, is set to speak at the "Politics and Eggs" forum on Friday.
The Arizona congressman, who is retiring when his term ends this year, has said a Republican should challenge Trump in the 2020 election. Although Flake said he does not have plans to run for president, he added that he has also not ruled it out.
