You might say Beto O’Rourke is trying to sink his teeth into to the border issue.
The Texas Democrat, who made an unsuccessful bid for the Senate in November and is looking at a possible 2020 presidential run, posted on Instagram a short video of him being worked on by his dental hygienist, Diana, as they discussed the southern border.
“So, I’m here at the dentist…” a bearded O’Rourke seated in a dental chair, says as the clip opens.
But now people on social media are trying to take a bite out of him for the post.
Ben Shapiro, editor-in-chief of the Daily Wire, tweeted: “Just wait for his colonoscopy.”
Politico’s Jeremy White posted on Twitter: “why is my timeline full of pictures of Beto O'Rourke getting his teeth cleaned.”
And Henry Gomez of BuzzFeed News added: “Your move, Elizabeth Warren.”
No word from O’Rourke on whether he had any cavities.
