Sen. Bernie Sanders has the most support among Latino voters among the Democratic presidential candidates both nationally and in the upcoming Nevada primary, according to a Univision poll released Tuesday, The Hill reported.

Among Latinos nationally, Sanders has 30% support and 33% in Nevada, well ahead of second place Joe Biden at 21% nationally and 22% percent in the state.

Nevada, which conducts its caucuses on Saturday, is the first state with a more diverse population to vote, as Latinos make up nearly 30% of its population.

Other results from the survey:

  • Third in the Nevada poll among Latinos following the former vice president is billionaire Tom Steyer at 12%, although he has only 1% support among Latinos nationally.
  • Former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg, who is not competing in Nevada, has 18% support nationally among Latino voters, but just 6% in the state.
  • The only other candidate to register double-digit support among Latino voters nationally is Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who is at 10%. In Nevada, her backing among Latino voters is only 6%.
  • Former South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg, who is leading the Democratic contenders in delegate count so far, registers 5% support among Latinos nationally and 8% in Nevada.
  • Sen. Amy Klobuchar, who finished third in the New Hampshire primary last week, has 2% backing among Latinos nationally and 1% in Nevada.

The poll, which was conducted from Feb. 9-14, surveyed 1,306 Latino registered voters, including 1,000 nationally and 306 in Nevada. The margin of error is 3.1 percentage points across the country and 5.6 percentage points for the Nevada sample.
