Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann doesn’t have the money to go beyond Iowa, the nation’s first caucus/primary state, says Ed Rollins, who recently stepped down as the Minnesota representative’s campaign manager.
"She doesn't have the ability or the resources to go beyond Iowa at this point in time," Rollins told MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell. When Rollins quit, he said he’d still be happy to advise Bachmann if she called.
In contrast to Bachmann, Mitt Romney and Rick Perry already have enough money to start their campaigns in South Carolina, New Hampshire, and Florida, Rollins said.
The contraction of Bachmann’s campaign operation has sparked questions as to how much cash she has to continue her presidential bid.
