Former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer said presidential aides should not be able to call for the prosecution of anyone.

Fleisher, who served during the George W. Bush administration, made his comments in the form of a tweet on Friday:

The Hill reported Fleischer's remarks came after White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci appeared to suggest chief of staff Reince Priebus should be investigated by the Justice Department for leaking Scaramucci's financial disclosure form.

Scaramucci's remarks were in a tweet, which has since been deleted, The Hill said.
