Roy Moore: Dems Weaponize Claims 'Because It's Effective'

Disgraced former Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore ripped scheming Democrats' "politically motivated charade" against himself and Judge Brett Kavanaugh, rebuking their opportunistic last-minute "tactics" as "suspect," as The Washington Post reported.

"They don't care about transparency," Moore told One America News Network, calling out the weaponization of allegations that are difficult to refute in a political Catch-22. "They just use it because it's effective.

"They know that on the one hand, you offend women if you believe somebody that says they weren't guilty of sexual misconduct. On the other hand, if you don't believe them, you're condemning the person accused of guilt to prove his own innocence. It's Catch-22."

Moore's exclusive interview came after a statement posted on his wife's Facebook account, exposing the "the depths to which liberals will stoop to stop opposition to their agenda."

"Brett Kavanaugh, like me, has withstood numerous investigations and vetting by the most rigorous legal and political authorities," Moore's statement read.

"The timing of these accusations in the midst of the U.S. Senate's confirmation for a seat on the U.S. Supreme Court, like those allegations against me only 32 days before the final election for the United States Senate last year, is indeed suspect and show the depths to which liberals will stoop to stop opposition to their agenda."

Moore called on Republicans to stand against the scheme regardless of the criticism.

"They need to take a stand," Moore said. "They need to do what their conscious dictates. It's so obvious these tactics are used just days before a very important event like a confirmation. It's right in the midst of confirmation hearings. But these come up right before an election or confirmation, and I think Republicans need to take a stand.

"A lot of them don't. They don't like criticism."
