China Playing a Role in Surging Gas Prices

Even with winter weather keeping drivers off the roads, gas prices are rising nationwide – and experts say the reason for the unusual seasonal pain at the pump involves China.

Typically, gas prices remain low, or at least stagnant, in January as drivers face shorter days and blistery weather conditions that make long road trips unappetizing. That hasn't been the case this year, however, as gas prices have climbed nationally for the fourth week in a row.
