Horrific violence against our children in public schools is quickly becoming an accepted norm in places once reserved for not only educaton, but also adhering to standards, and imposing discipline - when merited.

Whereas getting a "wedgie" may have once been seen as a rite of passage in school, woke progressives now envisage broken noses and trips to the ICU as a necessary part of nurturing and protecting violent perpetrators who shouldn't be punished for assaulting their classmates because it will prevent social workers from understanding them.

That is a far more "worthy" goal than protecting students, at least far as the progressive left is concerned.

If you have a problem with public school children getting seriously injured in the classroom, there are actually school administrators who will insouciantly tell you to find another school for your children.

While this disturbing development can reasonably be attributed in part to restorative justice models permeating school districts nationwide, the main reason why we're being told to sit down and shut up is because the most of the powerful elites driving these policy changes send their children to prestigious private schools; ones that most working-class families could never afford to attend.

A heartbreaking and sickening incident caught on video shows a vile and gruesome attack on a nine-year-old girl and her 10-year-old brother, one mostly been ignored by the mainstream media.

The assault occurred on a school bus; it served as the straw breaking the camel's back when it comes to legitimizing and rationalizing brutal assaults against children whose parents can't afford private schooling.

While sitting on a school bus with students from Coconut Palm Academy in Homestead, Florida, a little girl is met by two boys — one of them a 14-year-old — who deliver a savage beating so vicious that it would have caused howls of outrage and protest if something similar was depicted on "The Sopranos" against an adult, let alone a child.

The two boys in the video are shown taking turns punching the little girl in the head as she struggles to cover up. The 14-year-old punches the little girl with the ferocity and speed of a welterweight contender fighting for the world boxing championship.

Another group of students pummels her 10-year-old brother behind her.

The attack lasts more than 40 seconds.

The driver appears to do nothing and his aide appears to just sit at the front of the bus, remaining idly by.

Ironically, the mother of these children had contacted a local TV station to complain that the school was ignoring the bullying of her children, only to have this despicable attack occur hours later.

The two children had been enrolled in the school for just three weeks and were exposed to repeated bullying, according to news reports.

Their mother also complained to multiple education administrators before the school bus attack.

Based on the feedback that was given to the children's father, this writer feels it's fair to say they couldn't have cared any less regarding students' safety.

As reported by 7 NewsMiami, "An assistant principal wrote us, and she said, 'Oh, I think it's time you take your kids out of the school,' and our kids aren't the problem," said the children's father.

And at this same institution, another parent had to transfer her child to another school after administrators repeatedly ignored her pleas for help, including one incident where a teacher instructed her child not to report an assault because "what happens in P.E. stays in P.E!"

These hypocrites are guided by the dogma of "rules for thee but nor for me," the same people who expect you to be understanding and forgiving of savage attacks against young children in schools are the same people who literally call in the National Guard a few hours after migrants arrive within miles of their luxury vacation homes.

Parents refusing to show an interest in raising their children properly should no longer be granted the ability to wage a reign of terror on families of children who are happy to go to school to learn.

Children, everywhere, deserve the right to a good public education.

A place where they can enjoy the innocence of childhood, something which shouldn't just be reserved only for parents who can afford to send their children to schools like those specializing in classical education, for example.

Taxpayers, especially parents, and other decent citizens nationally, have had enough of woke, progressive agendas; especially those leading to assaults on morality in America.

The nuclear family, and its inherent structure still matter in. this country, as they should.

Children may not, continually, have both parents involved in their lives, or even a parent at all. However, active, respectable, and responsible parental figures, mentors — and other role models — can certainly step up to the plate.

The radical left still would rather see family replaced with government.

That agenda has, unfortunately, made great strides in accomplishing that goal, in government, and in society at large.

Calling a halt to this scenario is the sort of conversation we need to start having

The sooner, the better.
