Roland Martin isn't convinced that Santa Claus should be portrayed as white. The former CNN political analyst says there's room for Jolly Old St. Nicks of all races.
"We can have a white Santa, a black Santa, Hispanic Santa, because you know what? Santa is Santa," Martin, now host of "News One Now" on TV One, told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"If it's about the skin as opposed to about the season, then guess what? Be that way, but I say if it's about the season, I want to see Santa in all colors," he said Wednesday.
Santa's color has been a subject of vigorous debate since a Slate.com writer commented that Santa should be a penguin.
That spurred Fox News host Megyn Kelly to declare Santa was white, which fueled the firestorm.
"Here's the beauty of a fictitious character: it can be anything you want it to be," Martin said.
