Rep. John Rose, R-Tenn., says Sen. Rand Paul is absolutely right in his criticism of how the press has responded to allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election after Paul and ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos got into a fiery exchange over President Joe Biden winning the 2020 presidential election.
“We certainly believe, I certainly do, in a free and robust press in this country,” Rose said Monday during an appearance on Newsmax TV’s “John Bachman Now.”
“But the fix can’t be in by that press. Their job is to be impassionate third parties who are bringing forth the facts and reporting those to the American people and not reaching conclusions that then they pronounce as though they are somehow the experts in the room.”
Paul, R-Ky., told Stephanopoulos there were “two sides” to every story and blamed the media for painting all Republicans as “liars.”
He also called on the ABC host to interview somebody on the “other side” without inserting “yourself into the story to say we’re all liars.”
“The investigations that have taken place have shown there’s not enough fraud to change the results of this election. That has been certified by every state,” Stephanopoulos said.
“I accepted the states’ certifications. But it doesn’t mean that I think there wasn’t fraud and that there weren’t problems that have to be investigated. And it doesn’t mean that the law wasn’t broken,” Paul said.
