Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy delivered a message to American war veterans on this Veterans Day, saying their service "inspires Ukrainians" to continue their fight against Russia.
The message, breaking first on Newsmax's "Prime News" on Thursday night, recognizes the sacrifices made by American men and women.
"On behalf of all Ukrainians, happy Veterans Day and thank you for your service," Zelenskyy said in his message. "For almost 250 years, the men and women of the United States armed forces have prevailed against tyranny, often against great odds. Your example inspires Ukrainians today to fight back against Russian tyranny."
Zelenskyy also offered "special thanks to the many American veterans who have volunteered to fight in Ukraine and to the American people for the amazing support you have given Ukraine. With your help, we have stunned the world and are pushing Russian forces back. Victory will be ours."
Zelenskyy concluded his message with, "God bless America and Slava Ukraini," which translates to "glory to Ukraine."
Zelenskyy's message has been running on Newsmax.
