A distraught Wendy Williams was rushed to a hospital Monday, hours after her husband's alleged mistress gave birth.
The talk show host, who had checked into a sober house earlier this month, is "not in a good way," Fox News reported, with one report saying she was found drunk.
Williams was back on the set of her show Tuesday after receiving IV fluids in hospital but behind the scenes she appears to be devastated.
"Wendy is not in a good way, everyone is so concerned for her," an unnamed source said shortly after news broke that Sharina Hudson, an alleged longtime love of Williams' husband Kevin Hunter, had given birth in Philadelphia. It is widely believed that he is the baby's father.
Earlier this month Williams revealed that she had been living in a sober house and desperately trying to clean up her act.
"You know I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in my past," she said, according to Page Six. "I never went to a place to get the treatment."
However, news of the birth appeared to have shaken Williams, who had checked out of the sober house in Queens.
"The sad thing is that she’s been working so hard to stay sober and she’s been so honest in her struggles with all her fans, and this just tipped her over the edge," the source said, according to Fox News. "But the fact she still came to the set just shows how strong she’s trying to be."
Hunter, an executive producer on Williams' show, has reportedly remained on set with her this week amid the drama, TMZ noted.
