Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi – one of the world's largest indoor theme parks – is set to open Wednesday.
The 1.65 million square-foot park will feature 29 rides with the characters and stories of DC Comics and Warner Brothers, including Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, contained within six different worlds such as Gotham City and Metropolis.
Looney Tunes will figure prominently, with favorites like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck in the Cartoon Junction section. Scooby Doo, Tom and Jerry, and The Flinstones are also accounted for.
The park will offer guests a chance to enjoy personal visits to their table from their cartoon and comic book heroes, The National reports.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan were given a private tour of the facility Monday on the resort island of Yas.
Seven years in the making, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is "a new landmark in our capital, a new destination for our families and an important stop in consolidating the tourism sector of our national economy," Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said.
UAE remains one of the United States' strongest allies in the region and has worked closely with the Trump administration to combat Islamic extremism and oppose Iran's growing influence.
The Warner Bros attraction is one of several high-tech theme parks to have opened in the UAE in recent years. Others include Legoland, IMG World of Adventure and Motiongate.
