A video clip of “Veep” actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus matter-of-factly dropping the F-bomb on the red carpet had fans applauding her raw honesty about the prospects for a female president.

In the Twitter clip posted by Variety, the popular star, who plays Selina Meyer on HBO’s political comedy, was asked at an HBO red-carpet premiere Tuesday if she thought she’d see a woman elected president in her lifetime.

“I f**king better,” she dead-panned, adding with a nod: “Yeah.”

The comment went viral Wednesday.

The actress hasn’t offered an endorsement in the 2020 race, but she’s got a big field of female aspirants in the Democratic primary race to pick from — including Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, and Sens. Kamal Harris, D-Calif., Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y.

The final season of “Veep” premieres Sunday night on HBO.
