Newsmax TV is expanding its original programming lineup to add two talk-radio veterans to the channel, Newsmax Media CEO Christopher Ruddy announced Monday.
Todd Schnitt and Wayne Allyn Root will each headline their own shows that debuted Monday.
"The Schnitt Show" airs weekdays at 3 p.m. ET, featuring the libertarian-leaning views of its host while mixing news, commentary, pop culture, and parodies that have been part of his syndicated show from Compass Media Networks on 60 stations nationwide, Ruddy said.
"War Now" is a joint venture with USA Radio Network and is airing Mondays through Fridays at 8 p.m. ET, headlined by Root, a fiery, high-energy conservative commentator, writer and producer who was the 2008 Libertarian vice presidential nominee.
"At Newsmax TV, we hear from our audience that they are hungry for thoughtful, passionate voices for viewpoints that other media outlets ignore," Ruddy said in a statement. "Todd Schnitt and Wayne Allyn Root are proven broadcasting leaders, and we're sure our viewers will engage with them."
With headquarters in Boca Raton, Fla., plus additional studios in New York and Washington, D.C., Newsmax TV reaches a national audience via several cable, satellite, and broadband partners. It is the only 24/7 cable news channel available without authentication for free and virtually anywhere in the world.
