Tiger Woods says he’s getting professional help to manage the prescription drugs he’s been taking since having his fourth back surgery in four years.

The golfer took to Twitter on Monday to announce that he was receiving help, according to Golf Week.

"I’m currently receiving professional help to manage my medications and the ways that I deal with back pain and sleep disorder," Woods wrote.

This comes just days after a report surfaced alleging that Woods had checked himself into the Jupiter Medical Center near his Florida residence because of prescription drug addiction.

Woods and his team never confirmed this report to be true, though.

The 14-time major champion caught many people by surprise a few weeks ago when he was arrested for a DUI in Florida, CNN noted.

Despite a viral video of his failed sobriety test, Woods later said that he had an "unexpected reaction" to prescription medication.

The night Woods was arrested, Officer Christopher Fandry, who handled the arrest, said he asked Woods if he had taken any medication that day, the Golf Channel noted.

"I asked Woods if he had taken any medication to which he stated ‘Xanax,’" Fandry wrote in a report.

However, Woods later told police that he was on four specific medications and none of them were Xanax. Woods claimed to be taking Soloxex (sic), Torix (sic), Vioxx and Vicodin.

There will likely be more answers regarding what Woods had in his system the night of his arrest, but that won’t be until his toxicology report is released.

The four-time Masters Tournament winner is scheduled to be in court on Aug. 9 in connection with his DUI charge, which could be lessened.
