The tax cuts signed into law last December are still mostly unpopular across the United States, according to the results of a new survey.

Key figures in the Gallup poll:

  • 46 percent of adults disapprove of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, while 39 percent approve of it. At the start of the year, 55 percent disapproved and 33 percent approved.
  • 64 percent said they have not seen an increase in their paychecks.
  • 51 percent said the tax cuts have not helped their family financially, while 38 percent said they have helped.
  • Party-wise, 76 percent of Republicans, 8 percent of Democrats, and 34 percent of Independents approve of the tax cuts law.

President Donald Trump signed the tax cuts into law just days before Christmas 2017.
