Fund: First Tariffs, Next Capital Gains 'Trick Up' Trump's Sleeve

Some tariffs might "have to be used" to encourage foreign companies to establish plants in the United States and hire American workers, according to National Review foreign affairs correspondent John Fund.

Fund, a Newsmax analyst, told Newsmax TV's "Newsmax Now," although he is generally opposed to tariffs, President Donald Trump's approval of recommendations to impose safeguard tariffs on imported washing machines and solar cells and modules was understandable.
