Lawyers for President Donald Trump have openly provided special counsel Robert Mueller's office with several documents and other information with the idea of trying to influence what a Trump interview with the investigator might cover.
According to The Washington Post, Trump's legal team has been forthcoming when it comes to transparency with Mueller's team because they are trying to keep a Trump interview to a handful of topics.
Documents given to Mueller's office cover things like the content of memos circulated within the White House and descriptions and correspondence regarding events that are on Mueller's radar screen — such as the firing of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and former FBI Director James Comey, the Post reported.
There have been rumors Mueller could seek to interview Trump at some point in the near future as he investigates whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia. A new report, however, claims the Mueller probe is shifting to an obstruction of justice investigation.
Another report over the weekend, meanwhile, claimed Mueller's team has provided Trump's lawyers with a list of questions that could be included in a Trump interview.
