The Obama administration's strong-arming of U.S. companies considering a move overseas to save taxes smacks of "real gangster politics,'' says Stephen Moore, chief economist for the Heritage Foundation.
"It's almost like the Mafioso from 'The Godfather' says, you know, nice store you have here, it'd be a shame if somebody burned it down,'' Moore said Wednesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on

"That's essentially what [Senate Majority Whip] Dick Durbin said to Walgreens. He threatened them to take away their Medicare or Medicaid contracts, and you know that's a drugstore, so they would have a hard time surviving without that.
"He talked about getting consumers not to shop at the store any longer and he called them all sorts of names, unpatriotic and Benedict Arnolds and so on.''
