Stephen Baldwin hasn't spoken to Saturday Night Live funnyman and brother Alec in months, in part because of Alec's impersonation of President Donald Trump, the Hill reports.
"Early on during the campaign, I thought that 'SNL' was getting a little too nasty," Stephen said in a Sunday interview with "Fox and Friends."
Alec Baldwin pulled double duty on SNL Saturday, mocking Trump and Fox News host Bill O'Reilly. But in a recent interview he said he wouldn't be mimicking him much longer.
"Trump just overwhelmingly lacks any sportsmanship. He remains bitter and angry, and you want to look at him and go, 'You won!'" Baldwin said on Extra in late March.
"His policies aside, which you can hate, I thought he would have just relaxed and said, 'hey man . . .' There's a style the president has to have. The maliciousness of this White House has people very worried, which is why I'm not not going to do it much longer, that whole impersonation. I don't know how much more people can take it."
The election, Stephen said, has divided the family.
"Well, yeah, this has been a tough election, you know?" he responded to a question about the bitter race between Trump and Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton.
"The Democratic side wanted what they wanted, and they lost. So now what I'm excited about it, how quickly that community is going to come on board to support Donald Trump so he can make America great again."
