Voting by Smartphone Invites Fraud, Critics Warn

Imagine voting by smartphone: You open an app, use the touch screen on your phone to cast your votes, and the facial recognition system or thumbprint scanner verify your identity. Voting becomes as simple as pulling up the local weather forecast — and just about as easy.

Sound far fetched? Well, it actually happened in this year’s midterm elections.
