Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay told Newsmax TV on Tuesday that the Senate should do away with the 60-vote majority rule — supporting President Donald Trump's call for the "nuclear option" on key votes — because it "undermines the will of the American people."

"I am a huge enemy of the 60-vote rule in the Senate," DeLay, 70, the former Texas Republican who led the House from 2003 to 2005, told "Newsmax Now" host John Bachman.
