Wisconsin's Republican Gov. Scott Walker isn't wasting any time — with a new website that just went online today, and a new fund-raising committee, he's leaving little doubt that when it comes to the 2016 presidential race, he's aiming for the win.
Walker,
the Washington Post reports,fresh off an impressive speech performance at the Iowa Freedom Summit gathering over the weekend in Des Moines, Iowa, has announced the formation of "Our American Revival," an organization which "encompasses the shared values that make our country great; limiting the powers of the federal government to those defined in the Constitution while creating a leaner, more efficient, more effective and more accountable government to the American people," Walker said in a press release.
The website states that "federal overreach infringes on our American freedoms and values" and promises, "Our American Revival will focus on reforms that will take control from the federal government and big government special interests and give it back to hard-working taxpayers."
The new committee is not a super PAC, but a 527 leadership committee, which allows Walker to raise funds, but not to use those funds in support of other candidates,

It will be headed by former Republican National Committee political director Rick Wiley, the Post notes. Walker has also hired David Polyansky, former top advisor for Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa.
Walker was raised in the Hawkeye State before his preacher father moved the family to a new church in Wisconsin, firming up Walker's roots in the state with the first primary, The Hill reports.
Walker also touched base over the weekend with multi-billionaire industrialists and conservative political supporters Charles and David Koch, appearing at their American Recovery Policy Forum in Palm Springs to deliver a speech, the Post noted.
Later this week, Walker will address the American Action forum, The Hill reports.
In 2012 Walker faced a recall election over his battle with public employee unions, survived it and won re-election last year, the Post notes, victories which have "made him a hero among many conservatives."
At the Iowa "cattle call" of Republican contenders, Walker stood out above the other candidates, several of those in attendance said.
"It was a clear Walker victory," Craig Robinson, former Iowa Republican Party political director, told The Hill.
"He had expectations coming in here, he was on everyone's short list and he had to meet those expectations and I thought he far exceeded them. I thought his speech was just perfect, and I thought his delivery was perfect. The delivery really surprised me."
