San Juan, Puerto Rico Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz delivered a shot at President Donald Trump Wednesday by wearing a t-shirt with the word "Nasty" emblazoned on it — which Trump used to refer to her last week.

Cruz was critical of Trump and the U.S. government's response to the tragedy that has occurred in Puerto Rico, a U.S. territory, after Hurricane Maria blazed a path straight through the island last month.

During an interview with Univision, Cruz displayed the word across the front of her shirt that Trump used to describe her in a Twitter rant last week after Cruz called him out.

Mediaite posted an image of Cruz's shirt.

Last week, Cruz criticized the Trump administration's response to Maria during an interview with CNN. That prompted Trump to use his Twitter feed over the weekend to fire back, including this message:

In a separate CNN interview last week, Cruz wore a t-shirt that read, "help us, we are dying."

Trump visited Puerto Rico Tuesday to meet with rescuers and first responders, local officials, and even storm victims. Cruz attended Trump's first event on the island and shook the president's hand.
