After issuing an apologetic statement for calling Ivanka Trump a "feckless c––," Samantha Bee is planning to revisit the controversy Wednesday on her TBS show "Full Frontal," a spokesman confirmed Sunday, according to CNN.
An in-depth response will lead the show, a response that has been crafted since her apology to Ivanka on Thursday, according to the report.
"I would like to sincerely apologize to Ivanka Trump and to my viewers for using an expletive on my show to describe her last night," Bee's statement read. "It was inappropriate and inexcusable. I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it."
Amid recent firestorms of derogatory speech aimed a political figure, including comments deemed racist coming from comedian Roseanne Barr that led to ABC canceling "Roseanne," Bee pushed Ivanka to work against the Trump administration's immigration initiatives.
"Ivanka Trump, who works at the White House, chose to post the second most oblivious tweet we've seen this week," Bee said on last week's "Full Frontal." "You know, Ivanka, that's a beautiful photo of you and your child, but let me just say, one mother to another, do something about your dad's immigration practices, you feckless c––!
"Put on something tight and low-cut and tell your father to f––ing stop it. Tell him it was an Obama thing and see how it goes, OK?"
TBS had also apologized for Bee's commentary.
"Those words should not have been aired," TBS's statement read. "It was our mistake, too, and we regret it."
