Joe Biden's presidential campaign said Saturday he has not picked a running mate after Biden was asked during a bike ride, saying he had made his decision before joking about who the pick was.

Fox News reporter Peter Doocy caught Biden on a bike trail in Delaware and asked if he had made a decision. Biden replied, "Yah, I have" and when Doocy followed, "You have? Who is it?" Biden replied: "You."

"Folks, this is clearly a joke," campaign spokesperson TJ Ducklo tweeted after posts went viral with the exchange.

"When Vice President Biden has made a decision on who his running mate will be, he will let the American people know. And can confirm, it's not @pdoocy of @FoxNews."

A decision is expected as soon as this weekend, The Hill reported, citing unidentified sources.

The former VP is mulling a number of possible contenders after he vowed he would select a woman for his running mate. Multiple reports have described the contenders as including Sens. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill., and Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.; Reps. Karen Bass, D-Calif., and Val Demings, D-Fla.; and former National Security Adviser Susan Rice.
