Newsmax President and CEO Christopher Ruddy says Mitt Romney needs to win over “middle voters” the way Bill Clinton did in the 1990s.
In an interview with Larry Kudlow on CNBC’s “The Kudlow Report” at the Republican National Convention, Ruddy said: “Middle voters want incremental change. They are afraid of ideological change.
"I think Mitt Romney has this opportunity to come in and say remember the days in the ‘90s when Clinton and the Republicans and Newt worked together and we had a transformational change. That’s what we should be focusing on.”
Kudlow introduced Ruddy as “an old friend, the Newsmax Media founder, president and CEO of that very powerful organization.”
Looking ahead to Romney’s convention speech on Thursday night, Ruddy also said the Republican candidate “can pivot and really focus on what his promise of the future is and how Barack Obama failed in the past four years. It’s there for the taking.”
