Romney Has Victory Speech Written But No Concession

Gov. Mitt Romney had his victory speech written on Election Day before the first state had been called by the networks as he spent the day campaigning in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Romney told The Associated Press that while “nothing is certain in politics,” he had not written a concession speech and was focused on following election returns from around the country.

"I feel like we put it all on the field,” Romney said. “We left nothing in the locker room. We fought to the very end, and I think that's why we'll be successful."

He voted on Tuesday morning in Massachusetts near his home before heading to rallies in both states during a final swing while the polls were open.

"This is a big day for big change," Romney said during a meeting at a campaign office near Cleveland.
