An image Roger Stone posted to his Instagram account over the weekend suggesting he has been framed has been flagged by special counsel Robert Mueller and could mean jail time for President Donald Trump's longtime associate, CNBC reports.
Stone, who remains under a Feb. 21 order from U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson banning him from publicly commenting on his upcoming criminal trial, on Sunday posted a photo of himself with the words, "who framed Roger Stone" to his Instagram story.
The photo was removed after CNBC emailed his lawyer to ask about it.
Mueller on Monday notified Jackson of the post in a court motion.
"We note for the Court that according to public reporting, on March 3, 2019, the defendant's Instagram account shared an image with the title 'who framed Roger Stone,'" prosecutors wrote.
Stone, 66, has tested the gag order several times, including last month when he posted a photo of Jackson on his Instagram account with what appeared to be the crosshairs of a rifle scope behind her head.
"Today, I gave you a second chance," Jackson told Stone during the hearing. "This is not baseball, you don't get a third chance."
