Fifty-six percent of Americans are more likely to believe special counsel Robert Mueller’s version of the facts, compared to 33 percent who believe President Donald Trump’s,  according to a new Washington Post-Schar School poll.

Here is how the poll breaks down:

  • 43 percent believe Mueller’s probe has proven Russia tried to interfere with the 2016 presidential election, compared to 43 percent who say it has not.
  • 43 percent say the investigation has proven members of Trump’s 2016 campaign lied about contacts with Russian, while 45 percent say it has not.
  • 34 percent say the probe has proven Trump’s campaign coordinated with the Russian government to help him win, 54 percent say it has not.
  • 28 percent say the investigation has proven Trump tried to interfere with the probe in a way that obstructed justice, compared to 57 percent who say it has not.
  • 51 percent approve of Mueller’s handling of the probe, while 34 percent disapprove
  • 35 percent approve of Trump’s response to the investigation, compared to 52 percent who do not.

The poll, conducted Feb. 6-10, surveyed 841 adults. It has a margin of error of four percentage points.
