Rob Gronkowski crashed Sean Spicer’s White House press briefing to see if the press secretary needed "some help" while taking questions from the media.
The New England Patriots visited the White House on Wednesday to celebrate their Super Bowl LI victory, and the famed tight end made himself right at home when he interrupted Spicer’s daily briefing to offer him a helping hand, according to Fox Sports.
Spicer jokingly told Gronkowski, "I think I got this," adding that he would catch up with him on the White House grounds later, The Washington Post noted.
Before getting back to the briefing, Spicer said, "All right. That was cool."
This lighthearted moment came after the team’s star quarterback, Tom Brady, said he wouldn't attend the event.
"In light of some recent developments, I am unable to attend today’s ceremony, as I am attending to some personal family matters," Brady said in a statement, according to CBS News. "Hopefully, if we accomplish the goal of winning a championship in the future years, we will be back on the South Lawn again soon."
This isn’t the first time Gronkowski has made a cameo.
The tight end recently made a much talked about cameo when he took part in WrestleMania earlier this month, according to The Washington Post.
Gronkowski’s White House cameo sparked reactions on Twitter.
