Rep. Tom Reed, R-N.Y., who collapsed on Thursday, said he will return to work next week, The Hill is reporting.

"Thank you to everyone for their thoughts and prayers,” he said in a statement. “After my evaluation by the doctors at George Washington University Hospital, it turns out I had a previously undiagnosed case of pneumonia. I look forward to returning to work on Monday.”

Reed collapsed Thursday in the Cannon Office Building rotunda where he was scheduled to do a television interview. Before being taken to the hospital, he was conscious and speaking, The Hill noted.
