The media blaming President Donald Trump for this week's mail bombs is an "outrage," political commentator Michael Reagan told Newsmax TV.
It is wrong to point a finger at Trump and his rhetoric for the explosive devices that have been mailed to high-profile Democrats since Monday, Reagan told Thursday's "America Talks Live."
"At this point, you wouldn't put it past the Democrats to pull off this kind of a plot, but they didn't have to do this to see what CNN and all the media is doing by blaming Donald Trump for it," Reagan said. "It's such an outrage.
"And media, once again, is seen for exactly what it is: The 'I hate Trump media' that is out there. Donald Trump came out, opened up his arms, and embraced. And what do they do? They slapped his arms away, slapped his hands away, and started attacking him and blaming him for what's going on."

At least 10 devices have been discovered, starting Monday at the home of billionaire Democratic donor George Soros. Since then, bombs were found addressed to former President Barack Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former CIA director John Brennan, former Attorney General Eric Holder, former Vice President Joe Biden, Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., and actor Robert De Niro.
Reagan pointed out Republicans have been targeted by Democrats in the past, from the June 2017 shooting at a congressional baseball practice to angry mobs approaching Republicans in public.
"It's interesting, they don't see themselves, they only want to blame the president of the United States for everything known to mankind," Reagan said. "And, unfortunately, we're gonna find out if indeed it works coming up on Nov. 6" for the midterms.
Investigators across the country are working to identify and locate the bomber.
