A leaked 2009 Pentagon report reportedly divulges details about a supersonic UFO shaped like a tic-tac that appeared to stalk the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier for days before vanishing.

The report doesn’t have any date or agency logo, but four officials confirmed it was written as part of a Pentagon program with input from multiple agencies, Las Vegas news station KLAS reported.

The news station reported it obtained the unclassified report while visiting Washington, D.C., for a debriefing arranged by former Sen. Harry Reid, and that it reveals first-hand accounts of the Nov. 14, 2004 encounter documented in a video that emerged in December 2017.

According to KLAS, over a two-week period in late 2004, an unknown, 45-foot long tic tac-shaped object played cat and mouse with the Nimitz and its support ships including the USS Princeton, carrying the most sophisticated sensor systems in the world.

On Nov.14, F-18s were ordered into the area and saw it up close, KLAS reported. Veteran pilot Dave Fravor, commander of the elite Black Aces unit, says the object reacted to the presence of the F-18s then took off like a bullet fired from a gun, KLAS reported.

Among the key findings in the report was that the object isn’t something that belongs to the United States or any other nation, and that it rendered U.S. capabilities ineffective; that it showed velocities far greater than anything known to exist; and that it could turn itself invisible, both to radar and the human eye, the Las Vegas news outlet reported.

The report included statements from seven F-18 pilots as well as radar operators on the ships. Despite the seriousness of the encounter, the pilots faced ridicule after their encounters. The Navy's initial report decided the object wasn’t a threat, the outlet reported.

Five years later, a more comprehensive assessment was compiled but was never made public and has been seen by few, even inside the Pentagon, KLAS reported.

Reid now hopes that Congress will act to create a new Pentagon program to study these incidents, KLAS reported.
