Pelosi: Weiner and Filner's Behavior 'Reprehensible'

By    |   Thursday, 25 July 2013 03:16 PM EDT

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California scolded former Democratic colleagues Anthony Weiner of New York and Bob Filner of California for their "reprehensible" behavior amid sex scandals.

"The conduct of some of these people that we're talking about here is reprehensible," Pelosi told reporters on Capitol Hill Thursday, The Hill reports.

"It is so disrespectful of women, and what's really stunning about it is they don't even realize. They don't have a clue," Pelosi said.

"If they're clueless, get a clue," the California congresswoman said. "If they need therapy, do it in private."

It was revealed earlier this week that Weiner continued his sexual indiscretion via an online relationship with a 22-year old Indiana woman after he resigned from Congress in 2011 for a similar pattern of behavior.

Three women have now come forward accusing Mayor Filner of San Diego of sexually harassing them. A sexual harassment lawsuit was filed against the mayor on Monday by his former communications director.

Weiner has resisted calls for him to get out of the race, and Filner has also refused to step down.

Weiner and Filner both served as congressmen when Pelosi was speaker of the House.
