Twitter Flips Out Over Obama's Tan Suit

While many Republicans were focusing Thursday on President Barack Obama's admission that "we don't have a strategy yet" for battling the Islamic State (ISIS), Twitter users focused on something else: the light tan suit he wore to the press conference.

It didn't take long after the speech for the sartorial comments to start, with hashtags #YesWeTan and #tansuit, as well as at least one parody account, Obama's Tan Suit, popping up.

The president's sartorial choice led to cheers and jeers from Twitter users, many of whom questioned the president's choosing to wear a light-colored suit to discuss the nation's heaviest topics, ISIS and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Of course, as Twitter user Eric Wolfson pointed out, Obama isn't the first president to wear a tan suit:


And there were some Twitter users like CNN's Jake Tapper, who "have nothing against tan suits."


Michigan Democratic Rep. John Dingell also had no issues with the tan suit:


But for some, like Twitter user Brian Ries, the suit took away from the president's message:


And "Aligazan" had one hope during the Thursday presser:


But Obama's fashion choice may not have been completely original, said Kolten Parker:


And the suit threw off reporters, Josh Labelle said:
