Biden: Obama One Term President Without Bin Laden's Death

By    |   Tuesday, 13 March 2012 11:54 AM EDT

According to Vice President Joe Biden, President Barack Obama would have been relegated to a one-term presidency if last summer’s mission to kill Osama bin Laden had failed, The Hill reports.

Biden, speaking at a fundraising event Monday night at Sen. John Kerry’s home in Washington, D.C., for Obama’s re-election campaign, said that the bin Laden mission was a turning point for the presidency.

“He said ‘Go,’ knowing his presidency was on the line,” Biden said of Obama. “Had he failed in that audacious mission, he would’ve been a one-term president.”

The Obama administration has lauded the Navy SEAL mission as one of the forefront accomplishments of the president’s term.

The fundraiser reined in a cool $10,000 per couple, with a reported 87 people in attendance.
