Newsmax Launches 'The Steve Malzberg Show'

Newsmax Media, Inc. has launched its first live-streaming TV program with the premiere of “The Steve Malzberg Show” on Monday.

The show hosted by the veteran radio personality originates from the company’s studios in New York City through its Newsmax Broadcasting LLC, and airs weekdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. EST on Newsmax TV. It will also be carried live on SiriusXM’s Channel 166 nationwide, and will begin airing on major terrestrial radio stations in the near future.

The show can be seen live through the Newsmax website.

The Steve Malzberg radio and TV simulcast is unique for talk, focused on breaking news and featuring fast-changing topics and guests, combined with cutting-edge viewer and listener interaction through the Internet. Steve and his "A list" group of opinion-makers offer listeners the news they need to know with sharp and opinionated commentary.

The premiere kicked off with an interview with Leigh Anne Tuohy, mother of Baltimore Ravens’ player Michael Oher. Tuohy was portrayed by Sandra Bullock in the movie “The Blind Side.”

Next up was billionaire mogul Donald Trump, who offered his thoughts on the future of the Republican Party, and Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy, who spoke with Steve about the passing of former New York City Mayor Ed Koch.

Trump talked about the lawsuit he filed on Monday against Bill Maher over the $5 million bet he made on the “Tonight Show.”

He provided the birth certificate that Maher had requested. The HBO talk show host has not contributed to Trump’s designated charities.

“Charities are the beneficiaries. I’m not the beneficiary,” Trump told Malzberg. “I felt an obligation to five great charities to file that lawsuit.”

Steve’s final guest was Major Gen. Paul E. Vallely, military analyst for Fox News Channel, who discussed the confirmation hearing of Defense secretary nominee Chuck Hagel.

Newsmax TV, an online media station that features news, commentary, lifestyle and entertainment programming, launched four years ago and has become an on-demand video powerhouse drawing some of the top political and cultural figures in the nation.

Newsmax Broadcasting is building a terrestrial radio network of affiliated stations for “The Steve Malzberg Show.” Stations that affiliate will be supported by Newsmax and its 10 million-viewer audience across the nation.

Newsmax plans to develop a cost-free 24/7 TV streaming channel over the next several months.

Malzberg is one of the most passionate and recognizable conservative voices in the nation. He has been a powerhouse in New York and on national radio and most recently was heard afternoons on WOR Radio and in 75 cities on the WOR Radio Network. Prior to WOR, Steve hosted highly rated news, talk and sports shows on WABC in New York.
