Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan warned that people “are going to kill their leaders” for selling them out.
In a one-minute clip of a speech Farrakhan gave at LeMoyne-Owens College in Memphis, Tenn., and posted on
Breitbart.com, Farrakhan asked the audience if they wanted to be leaders.
“You want to be leaders, right, you’re sure, you’re sure,” he said. “You better check yourself because leadership is nothing to play with because people tomorrow maybe in a few days are going to kill their leaders who’ve been selling them out. That’s why we’re in the shape that we’re in right now because we have corrupt people or people who started off good and got corrupted.”
The Commercial Appeal reported that Farrakhan addressed a broad range of topics including race, faith, education, and the nation’s wars. About 1,400 people attended the speech that was part of the college’s first Diversity Leadership Conference.
