House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said President Donald Trump and the government shutdown are pushing “our airspace to the breaking point.”

Her comments came in a Friday tweet.

She wrote: “The #TrumpShutdown has already pushed hundreds of thousands of Americans to the breaking point. Now it's pushing our airspace to the breaking point too.

“@realDonaldTrump, stop endangering the safety, security and well-being of our nation. Re-open government now!”

Her comments came after reports that flights to New York’s LaGuardia Airport have been restricted due to a staff shortage from the ongoing partial government shutdown. Flights to the airport have been delayed by an average 40 minutes. Some other airports in the northeast were also experiencing delays.”
