Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney is turning out to be somewhat of a college basketball expert this year, according to The Huffington Post.

The news website received a copy of his NCAA tournament bracket and it's very close to being right on the money.

Out of 11.57 million brackets filled out in ESPN.com's Tournament Challenge, Romney is in 25,485th place, which would put him in the 99.98th percentile.

In contrast, President Barack Obama, who is famous for his basketball knowledge, lies in 6,918,578th place, putting him in the 40th percentile.

Romney's success with his March Madness picks comes three years after the former Massachusetts governor declined to complete a bracket during the 2012 campaign, the Post reported.

"I'm not plugged in well enough this year to do that," he said at the time.

This year he was plugged in enough to fill in the bracket, and the Post says his results are "ridiculously good."

Romney picked six of the Elite Eight teams correctly, as well as the Final Four and the final game between Duke and the University of Wisconsin, which Romney plans to attend on Monday night. He attended the Final Four games on Saturday night.

The bad news for Badgers' fans is that Romney has picked Duke to become the champion.
