Security Expert: Obama Refuses to Admit ISIS' Global Threat

Tuesday, 26 August 2014 07:00 PM EDT

President Barack Obama refuses to admit that the bloodthirsty terror group Islamic State (ISIS) is a threat to the entire world, says Michael Ledeen, a former consultant for the National Security Council and the State and Defense departments.

"He does not want to face the fact that we're in a global war and that there are people who just hate us and it doesn't matter what we do or don't do," Ledeen said Tuesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"ISIS is really having a great success and its recruitment record right now is phenomenal, and a lot of people don't seem to get the point that that beheading video of [journalist James] Foley is a recruitment video.

"It goes out to people who want to do that and want to be involved in things like that, and there's a lot of people out there who really love it and yearn to behead infidels."

Ledeen, a Freedom Scholar at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, said the English-accented monster who beheaded Foley tipped his hand when he mentioned the president by name.

"They're compulsive truth tellers in that way. Their ultimate target is us, and so, they say it. And they say it because they mean it, because they think it'll intimidate us, and because it gets them more members," he said.
