Madonna turned 60 on Thursday, celebrating the milestone in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh where she was throwing a "grand party" in the evening with "hundreds of celebrities," Sky News reported.

The local press said the pop superstar was spotted on Wednesday checking into the Riad El Fenn Hotel, luxury lodgings co-owned by Vanessa Branson, sister of Virgin media head Richard Branson.

The Material Girl was also using her birthday to push an online fundraiser to benefit her Raising Malawi Foundation, according to Rolling Stone magazine.

"I have an unwavering commitment to providing vulnerable children with a loving home," she said. She has adopted four children from the African country.

Madonna is one of numerous stars are turning 60 this year. Here are 10 others, according to Wonderwall:

1. Angela Bassett: The Academy Award-nominated actress was born on the same day as Madonna. Bassett, who recently appeared in the smash hit movie "Black Panther," told AARP recently that "As long as I can keep doing what I want to do, I'm fine with it. I just don't want to slow down," Wonderwall said.

2. Alec Baldwin: The Oscar-nominated actor turned 60 on April 3, when he showered affectionate words onto his wife Hilaria Baldwin. The couple had their fourth child together in May, according to Wonderwall.

3. Michelle Pfeiffer: Pfeiffer, who turned into a Marvel superhero this summer in "Ant-Man and the Wasp," turned 60 on April 29.

4. Ice-T: Rapper and longtime star of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," whose real name is Tracy Marrow, turned 60 on Feb. 16. He tweeted, according to WonderWall, that he considered reaching the milestone a "win."

5. Ellen DeGeneres: The comedian and talk show host turned 60 on Jan. 26 and celebrated with her own A-list birthday party that included Jennifer Aniston, Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Jennifer Lawrence, Chrissy Teigen, Kim Kardashian West, Kanye West, Bruno Mars, Amy Schumer, Melissa McCarthy and Olivia Munn.

6. Gary Oldman: The actor who won the Oscar this year for "The Darkest Hour," turned 60 on March 21. He said he celebrated quietly with "a small dinner." He added, according to W Magazine, "And then, beyond that, I don't wanna know what date it is. I have no interest in being 61, 62, 63; I could not care less."

7. Patricia Heaton: The former "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "The Middle" star turned 60 March 4. She told People magazine recently that the she saw her long run on the ABC hit series "The Middle" coming to an end this year as "bittersweet," but was looking forward to what's next.

8. Kevin Bacon: The longtime actor turned 60 on July 8 and spent his day birthday touring the "David Bowie Is" exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum with wife, actress Kyra Sedgwick, according to Wonderwall.

9. Viggo Mortensen: The "Lord of the Rings" trilogy star will celebrate his 60th birthday on Oct. 20. He appeared in 2016's "Captain Fantastic."

10. Annette Bening: The four-time Oscar-nominated actress turned 60 on May 29. She is married to fellow actor and Oscar winner Warren Beatty, who is 81.
