Call it an act of divine intervention! A Kansas woman said she is alive thanks to a framed photo of the Lord's Prayer that shielded her and her husband from a bullet fired at her home recently, Fox News reported.

Constance Effie, 70, said she was sitting in the living room of her Kansas City home when she heard a loud bang from outside. She initially thought it was a bomb going off but eventually realized it was a stray bullet that had entered through the side of her house.

Effie said she and her husband were searching the living room to find a bullet hole when they noticed the framed copy of the Lord's Prayer, which hung on a wall right near where Effie was sitting.

"I thought, 'Look, that picture, the glass is all broken," she told FOX4KC. “It hit (the picture) and fell down behind (the couch).” She believes if the bullet hadn’t hit the metal frame of the picture it would have “hit one of us.”

She added: “It just means [God] is looking out for us,”

Effie had narrowly escaped death and the ordeal left her shaken to the core.

"I was afraid," she said. "I kept thinking I don’t want any more shooting."

The following day Effie found herself in the hospital having suffered a heart attack.

"They said it looked like it was stress heart attack but that it was small one," she said. "We’re lucky to be alive."

Police confirmed the shooting and said they are investigating the matter. Effiie told FOX4KC it was the grace of God that saved her.

"It just means [God] is looking out for us" she said.
