Canada Pulls Out of Kyoto, Others May Follow
Canada announced that it is pulling out of the Kyoto Protocol, saying Canadians are not willing to give $14 billion to other countries with “no impact on emissions or the environment” through a fund created at the most recent climate conference.
Russia may follow suit, and there is a chance that U.S. congressional leaders will look to cut funding for Kyoto.

Malicious cyber attacks are increasing as Russian and Chinese hackers exploit weaknesses faster than security solutions can be developed.
Europe is responding with new security technology, and Britain says it plans to spend an additional $1 billion on cyber security during the next four years, with a big push to head off attacks during the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
But government and big business are not the only segments of society that need to beware. It is expected that cyber attacks will increase in 2012, with the focus on acquiring personal data through mobile phones, social networks, and cloud computing.
