NBA superstar LeBron James and a few of his teammates will not stay at the Trump SoHo Hotel in New York City when the Cleveland Cavaliers travel to New York to play the Knicks, ESPN reported Monday night.

James is one of at least three Cavs players who have expressed disappointment with the Nov. 8 elections.

Cavs shooting guard J.R. Smith, reserve guard Iman Shumpert, and reserve forward Richard Jefferson have all voiced displeasure with President-elect Donald Trump.

"I understand people's stance on Trump," Shumpert told Complex.com on Nov. 30. "I can't get caught up in the racial, sexist bulls--- he's got going on. That's his personal thing, ya dig?

"But I just don't think he can make anything shake like that. He not [gonna] start no civil war out here. I do think he's crazy – straight-up. I think he did that stuff to get people to think he's willing to shake it up. But did I vote for him? No.

"The other stuff that comes with him, I can't get with. But now that he's here, I'm not [gonna] drag my feet. I gotta work here, at least until the offseason, if I wanna go get a crib in the islands."

Some of Trump's biggest detractors have been NBA owners, coaches, and players. And four teams, including the Cavs, Milwaukee Bucks, Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks have said they will not stay at Trump branded properties during trips to New York, Chicago and New Jersey, according to New York magazine.
